SCIOTA — Anita M. Hemingway, 46, of Sciota, N.Y., passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on July 11, 1960, the daughter of Dewey and Hazel (Reome) Hemingway.
Anita was a resident with the Clinton County Advocacy and Resource Center, residing at Whispering Pines on the Bear Swamp Road, Peru. She enjoyed collecting Raggedy Ann dolls, country music, going to restaurants, especially McDonald's for a fish filet.
Anita was predeceased by her parents, Dewey and Hazel Hemingway.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Seguin and her husband, Peter, of Sciota, Ann Agoney and her husband, Gary, of Sciota; two brothers, Thomas Hemingway and his wife, Terri, of Coopersville and Andrew Hemingway and his wife, Sandy, of Altona; several aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews; and cousins also survive her.
Calling hours will be Sunday, March 25, 2007, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road, Altona, N.Y.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, March 26, 2007, at 11 a.m. at St. Louis de France Church in Sciota.
Interment will be at a later date at St. Louis de France Cemetery.
