MIDDLE GRANVILLE - Alice P. Clark died on Sunday, June 17, 2007, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Alice was born on Feb. 18, 1922, in Willsboro, the daughter of Olive and Gertrude (Murphy) Provost.
Alice was the widow of Walter Clark. Together they owned and operated Clark's Store in Middle Granville from 1951-1984. Alice was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middle Granville, a member of the Catholic Daughters, the Mt. Carmel Rosary Society, a religious education instructor and Eucharistic minister, a life member of Penryhn Hose Co. and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, Alice was also predeceased by two sons: Norman Clark and Stephen Clark; two brothers, Norman Provost and Walter Provost; and a sister, Helen Sennett. Survivors are two sons: Robert Clark and his wife, Vania, of E. Hartford, Conn., and Philip Clark and his wife, Janelle, of Granville; a brother, William Provost, of Kingston; and two sisters, Mary Rivers of Slingerland and Grace Mitchell of Cohoes. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Robert Clark of E. Hartford, Jessica Clark of St. Albans, Vt., Adam Clark of Granville; and three step-grandchildren, Luka Hurley, Jana Hurley and Brent Bascom.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Middle Granville with the Rev. Thomas Zelker presiding. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 9, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St. Granville, NY 12832.
